Care for Homeless Residents

Share

Since Spring, 2013, Logan Square resident Gene Pellegrene has delivered care packages to homeless neighbors.  He fills tote bags with energy bars, vitamins, clothing and various items essential for daily living.  The bags are funded with Gene’s own money as well as money he raises through Care-Bags.org.

LoganSquare.TV’s Charles Jefferson met up with Gene at a December clothing drive for Care-Bags.org at The Hideout. Watch the video above to hear Gene and Charles talk about the care bags, and how the project has changed Gene’s life.
