The New Belgium Brewing Company is touring the United States with their own brand of a bike parade, packed up into two trucks and carried from city to city across the country with fresh brewed New Belgium beer. Each summer, the Tour stops in Palmer Square as its Chicago stop.
The day begins with parade registration at 10am. All are invited to participate in the bike parade, which begins promptly some time around 11am. The parade is followed by true celebrating, with live music, entertainment, a costume contest, a dance contest and fresh beer.
The event, and all of the activities are free, but the money raised from beer and merchandise sales is donated directly to local non-profit West Town Bikes. Whether you enjoy fresh beer or not, the day delivers on its promise to provide fun to family members of all ages.
You can find more details about this weekend’s fun at the official website for the Chicago stop of the Tour.
This is a daytime event that will be gone before dusk.
