Graffiti Artists Descending on Logan Square Dog Park

Share

After years of planning and fundraising, the Logan Square Dog Park opened last August at the southwest corner of the Kennedy Expressway.  But development continues as community members, working under the direction of Any Squared Projects and Artistic Bombing Crew, prepare to mount a mural on the wall along the Kennedy Expressway between Logan and Western.

Gabriel “Flash” Carrasquillo of Artistic Bombing Crew wants to set a (new?) world record for the most dogs on a wall.  He’s not sure how many dogs would be needed to hold the record, but they are planning to have a lot of dogs in the mural.

AnySquared Projects is planning a community painting day at the dog park on Sunday, June 12.  Everyone is invited to help paint the mural. Anyone interested in learning to spray paint with a variety of spray paint caps, and understand the different effects for which various caps are used, is invited to a free instructional session at AnySquared Projects on Wednesday, May 25.  AnySquared Projects is located at 2328 N Milwaukee Avenue.  For more details, visit anysquared.com
